Job description
As International Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for planning and directing the development, execution and completion of CAPEX projects, as well as supporting operations and process technology of assigned production locations outside of the Netherlands. You partner with the Production Manager and Business Unit Director of the applicable country, and will work closely with Global Nutritionists and Specialists. You will be part of the Global Technology & Investments team and report directly to the Manager Global Technology & Investments.
It is your responsibility to closely partner with the Business Unit to ensure that their plants produce the desired business benefits and value, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. You monitor technical performance and ensure Continuous Improvement within operations, in close collaboration with Nutritionists and Quality assurance.
Required Experience & Skills
You must have demonstrated experience managing significant projects in an international, technical context. Affinity with the agriculture business and/or feed sector is beneficial. Alternatively, this position could suit someone who has extensive experience as production manager or feed-mill plant manager.
You hold a relevant bachelors or masters degree, preferably Technical- or Mechanical Engineering or Food Technology accompanied with completed financial/economical courses.
This role needs a leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization globally. The project manager role is an empowered leader who must drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems.
Essential to be successful in this role is demonstrated knowledge of project management methodology, PM tools and processes, within a production- or project environment, preferably within the feed mill industry. Essential to be successful in this role are well-developed analytical skills, combined with good interpersonal and communication skills – you communicate with ease at different levels of the organization.
Further, you recognize yourself in the following characteristics; problem-solver, pro-active, pragmatic, independent and a self-propelling personality. You have excellent Dutch and English verbal and written communication skills.
